Art&Soul of Oakland County is more than a photo exhibit; it is a celebration designed to cause new possibilities to unfold.

Art&Soul is about activating a movement and a shift in thinking to increase awareness and action in the domain of adoption.

A real future for real children with hopes and aspirations who dream that a family might see them and know that “they” are the child for them, forever – a “forever family”.

Melissa Parks -Founder and CEO of A&S

This initiative shares the stories and images of unforgettable children capturing not just their souls, but reaching out to touch the essence of every human being – potential moms and dads, aunts and uncles, sisters and brothers, cousins and classmates.

We believe that once our community sees these children and learns their stories - the art will capture the soul, and the viewers - you – will NOT be able to unsee them – and in that moment, a new awareness will open up and new possibilities will begin to unfold – as people consider adoption, or tell friends and family how they were touched, refer friends and colleagues, and more and more people are invited into this new conversation for “forever families”.

Each photograph has been taken by a nationally recognized, award-winning photographer – the final art is produced by printing the images on stretched canvas, which magically makes more real, the essence of each child, and launches the soul-searching of the viewer.

We invite you to experiencing the Art&Soul of these family-less children, and develop a resolve to share what you see here, and invite others into this conversation for generating a movement we call “Forever Families”.

As this local photo exhibit travels, we ask you to help locate exhibit venues, adopt or foster a child, make a donation, or just help spread the word and share the stories of these courageous children.

To support and keep the conversation alive, Art&Soul provides a visual booklet to keep in your purse or pocket to empower your sharing.

Together we can build a movement where our community takes action and believes

Every Child is a Work of Art.
